LLC «GK SPA» has the technical ability to perform in-line inspection of pipelines ranging in diameters from 159mm up to 1420mm for the magnetic technology and 159 mm up to 1220 mm for the ultrasonic tools.
The diagnostic process itself is carried out during the transportation of the supplied product through pipeline.
Our pipeline inspection pigs use magnetic and Ultrasonic methods, Defining the corrosion conditions of the pipelines and allowing the company to detect all types of corrosion and weld failures.
Inspection pigs of bigger diameters are equipped with speed regulating devices, which allow the performance of Diagnostics without affecting the product supplying process.
All diagnostic complexes are equipped with navigation devices (mapping), which provide more precise information about the spatial position of the pipeline axis and location of the detected flaws.
In general, any inline inspection work consists of:
- Mechanical cleaning program: poly pig run, bidi cleaning pig run brush and/or magnetic cleaning pig run if required
- Gauging run
- Caliper run
- Intelligent tool run (magnetic or ultrasonic)
After the successful field work our data analysis department will prepare preliminary and final report in different standard standards to suit the clients requirements.
Typical standards are as follows::
- ASME B31G
- ASME B31G с изменениями
- DNV RP F-101
- R-STRENCH
- SHELL 92
- BS EN 7910
- API579
- Client standards: Gazprom, Transneft, Rosneft.

IN-LINE INSPECTION – Benefits
Improved Safety and Flexibility
- Lightweight and compact tools do not require lifting machinery.
- Superb minimum passage and bend capabilities; allows to inspect damaged or restricted pipe.
- Lower pressure differential requirements and bidirectional capability minimize line disruptions.
Reduced Operational Risks
- Unique design reduces wear, impact and debris collection associated with conventional inline technology.
- Direct high-density UT measurement delivers accurate, repeatable results.
- Solutions oriented – analysis of all line data vs. individual flow locations.
Cost-Effectiveness
- Single pass, combined geometry and metal-loss data provides 100% overlapping coverage.
- Linear UT sizing minimizes verification digs and improves excavation and repair confidence.
Time Efficiency
- Efficient inspections minimize offline status.
- Onsite turnaround and rapid data analysis allows real-time operating decisions.
UT inspections do not permanently magnetize pipe, thereby eliminating demagnetization repairs.
