Drying is an important stage of pre commissioning by assisting is stopping the build up of Hydrates in the operation of gas pipelines.
In the Ufa branch there is a fleet of units for pipeline de-humidification up to the dew point of 70°C, which includes:
- adsorption dryers with cold regeneration, ADU series (Pioneer, Hankison);
- adsorption dryers with hot regeneration, MDU series.
The total performance of the dehumidification units is more than 85 000 m3/h of dry air.
There different methods of pipeline drying:
- Vacuum drying
- Low pressure drying: high volume of hot air with a pressure up to 1 Bar
- Nitrogen Drying: when very low Dew Point are requested.
